Ceramic Class

Make and Take Workshop sponsored by the North East Community Centre.

Monday March 30th 6- 8pm

 Each participant will take home a completed Bunny Vase/dish!

This is a great way to try out painting a ceramic project and get sense as to what is involved in the ceramic process.!

Cost per person is 5.00 plus any city wide community centre family membership.

Early Years Family Centre Information for February

Band News

The Martin Area Band students are busy rehearsing for many upcoming events and performances from now until May.  Here is a list of the events for your calendars:

Junior Select Band (Select Grade 8’s only) – January 29-31 – Martin Collegiate

Superband (Grade 7/8 band only) – February 11 (afternoon only) – Johnson Collegiate

Optimist Band Festival (all band students) – March 17-20 – each band plays once during the 4 days (day/time will be shared when available)

A January newsletter was given to all band students with more information. 

Please hand in the following if you haven’t done so already:

Grade 6 students - $5.00 for Optimist Festival

Grade 7/8 students - $3.00 and permission form for Superband, and $5.00 for Optimist Festival

 WELCOME, to Dylan Wiest, our newest Martin Area band teacher, in place of Lindsay Stetner.  He will be teaching in our area for the remainder of the school year.
