UPDATE ABOUT SCHOOL REPAIRS: APRIL 13, 2023 -- Students are expected to return to classes at McLurg School on April 26, 2023.
Regina Public Schools had hoped to welcome students back on Monday, April 17th; however, due to the extensive flooding, we have had to make significant changes to equipment. Currently, there is no permanent electrical power in the school and we are working to replace and re-energize all required electrical needs for the building, such as heating and ventilation. At the same time, we are conducting all necessary measures to ensure that when the school re-opens, it will be safe for students and staff alike.
We are very thankful for parent, student and staff cooperation and the support of the temporary receiving schools that accommodated students from McLurg so that there was minimal disruption to their in-class learning. The arrangements (including transportation from McLurg School to the temporary receiving schools) that we had previously communicated will continue until the end of Tuesday, April 25th. Students are expected to return to McLurg School on April 26th.

McLurg April 2023 Relocation Plan
McLurg School has had a major water main break. There will no power, heat, or plumbing in the school this week. Students will be bussed to and from McLurg on April 4th, 5th and 6th. Students will be able to organize into classes in the gym and be transported from there.
All students should be at McLurg by 8:50. Students who typically ride the bus will arrive and depart from McLurg School and will continue with regular bus pick up and drop off schedule. They will be transported to their assigned school on a different bus with their class. Students who typically walk to school will be bussed from McLurg School with their class to an assigned school. Students in walking distance will be dismissed at 3:00 unless other arrangements have been made with the classroom teacher. There will be no B&A in the school. Students who are late for school will need to be transported by their families to their assigned school. All students will need to bring lunches. Please have your child use the bathroom before leaving home. There are no bathrooms at McLurg but there will be at the school they are being transported to.
